In loving memory of Connie Bavelas Wright

A place to celebrate her life, share memories, and remember the joy, love, humor, and warmth she brought into the world.

Remembering Connie

Connie was the kind of person who made people feel comfortable instantly. She had a huge heart, a sharp sense of humor, and a way of showing up for the people she loved no matter what was going on in her own life.

She loved deeply, worried fiercely, laughed loudly, and created a life full of stories, resilience, and connection.

Bountiful Food Pantry

When she had to leave Delta on Long term Disability due to a brain injury, Connie chose to join the volunteer team at the Bountiful Food Pantry where she made close friends and provided wonderful service to those in need.

The Bountiful Food Pantry has been providing supplemental food to low-income families in Southern Davis County, Utah since it began operating in the 1970s. The pantry began in a closet at the Bountiful Community Church, but in 2004 expanded to operate out of a 7,500 square foot warehouse. Currently, the Bountiful Food Pantry serves all of Davis County.

The pantry collects donated food from local grocery stores, the Utah Food Bank, local food producers and private individuals. With the help of community members the pantry sorts, organizes, and distributes nearly 2,500,000 pounds of food, or more than 2,100,000 meals, each year, without charge, to low-income families.
